The plant on any collector's wish list, the Thai Constellation Monstera. It has been one of the world's most famous indoor plants for a good few years now. It was genetically engineered in Thailand, with each of these plants lineage tracing back to a single lab (does the price make a bit more sense now? 😉)!
Its famous variegation appears as speckled as the night sky, giving it its name. These babies can grow incredibly well indoors, and if proper care you can expect it to reach well up to 2 metres on a stake.

Sunlight
Bright, indirect light is essential for these special babies, otherwise you may lose variegation as well as splits in their leaves. However, keep them out of direct sun to avoid burning the leaves.
Watering
Water when the top inch of soil has become dry, approximately once a week, and water thoroughly. Make sure your Thai Constellation is in well-draining soil and has adequate drainage from its pot to avoid root rot and discolouring leaves.

Humidity
Maintaining a high humidity will help keep your Thai Constellation healthy. As a tropical plant, they do not enjoy dry conditions, so keep them away from draughts or vents. Browning tips may also be a sign of a lack of humidity, so get your mister out if you see this!
Fertiliser
Feed with slow release fertiliser during the spring and summer months. Thai Constellations are relatively slow growing plants, so a fertiliser will greatly help in speeding up their growth!
